Trees2Timber at the Ideal Home Exhibition 2008

The Eco House was the central feature of Hall 2  highlighting the importance of green topics such as energy conservation and recycling.

The house is the brainchild of architectural designer, John Prewer, who for over 20 years has advocated sustainable innovation and the virtues of modular building (building in kit form).

As part of the sustainable living theme the garden incorporated our raised beds made from the waste slab wood from our milling process. Timber that would normally only be used for firewood is used to make good value, but extremely long lasting raised beds.

The beds do not need to be treated and the timbers are pegged together so no metal fixings are needed at all.

We sell these in 8ft x 4ft kit form or customised layouts can also be ordered.
